The government has asked all citizens to submit, if they have any, rare documents related to the life and works of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman – be it paper, analogue or digital format.
The national implementation committee in charge of organizing the year-long celebration of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary, issued a press statement on Monday asking all television channels and online portals to circulate the message.
The statement, signed by the committee’s Chief Media Officer Nasrin Jahan Lipi, urged all citizens and organizations to submit, if they have any, rare photos, audio and video clips, manuscripts, deeds, hand-written or printed documents related to the life and works of Bangabandhu to the Directorate of Archives and Libraries for archiving and publication during the celebration of Mujib Year.

Mujib Year, which will officially begin on Bangabandhu’s 100th birthday on March 17, 2020, will continue till March 26, 2021.
March 26, 2021 also marks the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence declaration.
