9 killed in road accidents in the last two days

The accidents occurred on Saturday and Sunday

At least nine people were killed in road accidents on Sunday and Saturday.

In Rajshahi, three people were killed in different road accidents on Sunday.

The deceased are Sifat Hossain, 20, Khayer Ali, 50, and Masud Haider, 35.

Sifat and Khayer fell off a running motorbike, and got killed by the impact at Tetultala area of Mohonpur Upazila, confirmed Mohonpur police station OC Mostak Ahmed.

Masud died when a truck hit his motorbike at the Lalbag Helipad area in Godagari Upazila. 

In Chuadanga, Robiul Islam, 45 was killed after a pickup truck hit him at the Bangazpara area on Sunday, confirmed Chuadanga sadar police station OC Abu Jihad Fakrul Alam Khan.  

In Thakurgaon, a motorcyclist was killed after his vehicle collided with a roadside tree in Khatshinga area of Pirganj Upazila on Saturday.

The deceased is Raju, 22, of Malgaon village in the Upazila, confirmed Pirganj police station OC Pradip Kumar Roy.

In Gazipur, Mofazzol, 48, was killed on the spot after a car ran him over at Joinabazar area of Sreepur Upazila on Saturday, confirmed Mawna Highway police station SI Ayub Ali.

In Jhenaidah, three people were killed in two separate road accidents at Moheshpur and Kaliganj Upazila on Saturday.

The deceased are Mohidul Islam, his son Ashikur Rahman, and Helal Uddin.

Moheshpur police station OC Rashedul Alam said: "Mohidul and Ashikur were killed when a bus of Mamun Paribahan hit their vehicle at Nostibazar area.

Helal Uddin died when a tractor he was driving overturned at Kashipur area in Kaliganj Upazila.
