Jaltab will play a significant role in terms of advancing Japanese language education in the region
The executive committee of the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh (JALTAB) has been formed at the 3rd annual general meeting.
The committee has now become a member of theJF Nihongo Network (widely known as the Sakura Network) of the Japan Foundation and will work for the next two years till March 2022, as decided at the meeting held in Dhaka on Friday.
Associate Professor of Japanese Language and Culture, University of Dhaka, Dr. Mohammed Ansarul Alam, has been made president of the executive committee, Masao Kojima of Stamford University is the vice-president, and Kuniaki Okabayashi of Kokorozashi Japanese Cultural Centre is general secretary of Jaltab, read a press release.
Jaltab will play a significant role in terms of advancing Japanese language education in the region.
The newly formed committee’s members expressed gratitude to the Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh.
