Queen Maxima will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 7pm on Wednesday at the national parliament
Queen Maxima of The Netherlands is scheduled to visit Dhaka, on a 4-day visit, to observe various development activities, and hold meetings with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and other high officials.
The Dutch Queen will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) by an Emirates flight EK 586 at 5:20pm Tuesday, and will be received by Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, BSS reported quoting a Foreign Ministry official.
Queen Maxima will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 7pm on Wednesday at the national parliament.
Since 2009, Queen Maxima served as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
On Wednesday morning, she will visit the UN headquarters in Dhaka at IDB Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon area, and hold a meeting with representatives from development partners.
After that, she will visit Jinardi Union Parishad office of Palash in Narsingdi, and a boutique shop in Tongi.
On Thursday, she will attend a roundtable discussion, with representatives of private sectors, and sit for a meeting with Bangladesh Bank governor, and officials from finance, and post and telecommunication ministries.
In the afternoon, she will meet with President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
Queen Maxima is scheduled to leave Dhaka in the early morning of Friday.
