Some politicians may join their party at the press briefing, the Gono Forum leader said
Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain will brief journalists on Sunday about the country's overall political situation and election atmosphere.
The press conference will be held at the National Press Club in Dhaka at 1pm, said Gono Forum Media Wing member Latiful Bari Hamim.
Gono Forum Training Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam Pathik said Dr Kamal will talk about various issues relating to the upcoming general election and the country's latest political situation, reports UNB.
A party leader wishing anonymity said their top leader may talk about the "inaction" of the Election Commission in ensuring a level-playing field, stopping arrest and harassment of opposition activists, and the "biasness" shown by the police and civil administration officials, including Election Commission Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed.
He further said Dr Kamal is also likely to place some demands for reshuffling the police force and civil administrations, and removing partisan officials from election duties to ensure credible polls.

The 11th general election will be held across Bangladesh on December 30.
