Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the 4th countrywide Development Fair, aiming to showcase the development activities of the present government.
She opened the fair via video-conference from her official residence Ganabhaban, in Dhaka, on Thursday, reports UNB.
The fair began in Dhaka and in all the district and upazila headquarters across the country with the theme, “Indomitable Bangladesh on March Towards Development.”
In Dhaka, the fair is being held at the field of International Trade Fair in Agargaon area.
Development successes achieved in different sectors under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina are being exhibited at the fair.
Additionally, 10 special initiatives undertaken by the prime minister are being displayed at the fair, including: the Visions 2021 and 2041, Bangabandhu Satellite, the Padma Bridge and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, and other investment prospects.
During the fair, the Mass Communication Directorate will project the government's successes among people through its district offices, while Bangladesh Betar will air the government's development activities.
Various government: offices, agencies, banks, insurance and other financial institutions, joined the district and upazila-level fair—arranged by local administrations.
