A Bangladeshi hacker group has hacked the Indian cricketer’s official website to protest alleged benefits India received in the Asia Cup 2018
Cyber Security & Intelligence (CSI), a Bangladeshi hacker community, hacked into Virat Kohli’s official website on Saturday to protest against the unfair decision by the umpire in Asia Cup 2018.
The CSI posted three photos on the official website of Virat Kohli mentioning the unfairness occurred by the umpire. They even requested International Cricket Council (ICC) to take necessary measures against the umpire to maintain mutual respect among all cricket teams.
Their Facebook page shared a post that read: “We knew cricket is a gentleman’s game. However, every time Bangladesh faces injustice and to prevent it we are hacking into Virat Kohli’s official site.”
The website’s homepage and most features have remained unchanged. However, if someone accesses the gallery section of the site, the first three photos have been added by the hackers.
As of 4pm Monday, the site still shows the hacker’s handywork.
