The government issued a circular on Wednesday
Biman Bangladesh Airlines must be used for air travels sponsored by the government.
If the national flag carrier does not fly to the specific destination, then the traveller can use possible direct flights operated by other carriers, a government circular issued on Wednesday said.
The circular was signed by Md Najibur Rahman, principal secretary to the prime minister.
It said the order will be applicable for ministers, state ministers, deputy ministers and equivalent post holders, members of the Parliament, chairmen, members and officers of government formed commissions, officers and staffs of ministries, divisions, government, semi-government offices, autonomous institutions, corporations, constitutional institutions, projects.
