PM Sheikh Hasina opens 7th March Bhaban at DU

The building has been constructed at a cost of Tk88 crore

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the 7th March Bhaban of Rokeya Hall on the Dhaka University (DU) campus. 

The building was constructed in memory of the historic March 7 speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

She inaugurated the building as the chief guest, through a function at the building’s auditorium on Saturday morning, reports

The prime minister inaugurated the building by unveiling its plaque, and later visited the museum and signed the visitors’ book.

The building, constructed at a cost of Tk88 crore and comprised of a five-storey administrative block, service block and museum, will accommodate 1,000 students.

In the museum, the 7th March speech, rare photographs of the armed struggle of the Bangalees and information regarding the participation and contributions of the women to the Liberation War were placed.
