Rajnath Singh said Bangabandhu's contribution to Bangladesh and South Asia will always be remembered

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and paid respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"Deeply moved to see the site where he and his family members were martyred," the Indian minister tweeted after visiting the museum on Sunday, reports UNB.

Rajnath Singh said Bangabandhu's contribution to Bangladesh and South Asia will always be remembered.

He then placed floral wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu. Afterwards, he also signed the visitor’s book.

He wrote: "I was very touched to visit the home of late Bangabandhu Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh. I pay my homage to late Bangabandhu and his martyred family. He will be always remembered as a freedom fighter not only in Bangladesh but throughout the world."

Earlier in morning, the Indian minister visited Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka and offered prayers.
