Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Friday said those involved in the heinous killing of Naniarchar upazila parishad chairman Shaktiman Chakma would be brought to book soon.
"I have ordered the authorities concerned to strictly prevent the terrorists who were trying to destabilize the hill districts," he said, while addressing a program organized by Krishak League at Tejgaon in Dhaka in the evening.

“A terrorist group is trying to destabilize the hills for the last few days... Instructions have been issued to identify and bring them to book."
Earlier in the day, five people were gunned down and eight others were injured as unknown assailants attacked a microbus carrying the five to the funeral of Naniarchar chairman, who was also shot dead by unidentified miscreants in front of the Upazila Parishad Complex Thursday morning.

Fifty-five-year old Shaktiman was the chairman of Naniarchar upazila parishad and a leader of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (MN Larma faction).
