Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the freedom fighters of Bangladesh on Monday on the occasion of the 48th Independence Day.
The prime minister, like other occasions, sent flowers, fruits, and sweetmeats to war-wounded freedom fighters and members of the martyred freedom fighters’ families at Martyred and War-wounded Freedom Fighters’ Rehabilitation Centre (Muktijoddha Tower 1) in Mohammadpur in Dhaka.
The PM’s Assistant Private Secretary (APS) Saifuzzaman Shikhar, Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokan, Protocol Officer Khurshid-ul-Alam, and Assignment Officer Gazi Hafizur Rahman handed over these items to them in the morning.
The war-wounded freedom fighters and members of the martyred freedom fighters’ families thanked and expressed gratitude to the prime minister for remembering them on various occasions like Independence Day, Victory Day, Eid, and Pohela Boishakh.
They also expressed gratitude to Sheikh Hasina for undertaking massive steps for their rehabilitation, including construction of Mutijoddha Tower 1, a 13-storey residential-cum-commercial building in Mohammadpur
They said they receive due honour only when the Awami League and Sheikh Hasina remain in state power.
They wished the prime minister good health and a long life.
