ISPR: Zafar Iqbal out of danger
Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) has said Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, who came under an attack in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), is out of danger. ISPR disclosed the information in an statement issued early Sunday. Eminent academic Prof Zafar Iqbal is undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka. ISPR Director Lt Col Mohammad Rashidul Hasan said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing at the administrative building of CMH later in the day.

He was brought to Dhaka by air ambulance after being stabbed on SUST campus in Sylhet on Saturday afternoon. Prof Zafar was speaking at a two-day long fair organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering when he was stabbed at the back of his head by an assailant armed with a knife.
