The government will celebrate the graduation of the country from the group of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) with elaborate programs on March 22.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also be accorded a mass reception for her success in the country's graduation from LDC Status to developing one, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal while talking to reporters at his ministry on Thursday.
"The prime minister earlier announced that she will change the country and she has lived up to her commitment. The country's graduation from the LDC status now awaits a formal announcement," he said.
The other programs include display of development works by different ministries at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, nationwide joy processions on March 22, observance of the Service Week from March 22 to 26.
Mass people, including government officials, will join the jubilant processions around the country, Kamal said.
Replying to a question, the home minister said his ministry will beef up security measures countrywide for smooth celebration of the achievement.
