President Md Abdul Hamid has been re-elected unopposed for the state's top job.
The Election Commission published a gazette notification in this connection on Wednesday.
He was the only candidate for the post and secured a second straight term at office, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda said at a press briefing earlier in the day.
"Abdul Hamid is likely to be sworn in as the 21st president of Bangladesh on April 23," the CEC said. "A gazette will be published in this regard in the evening."
Earlier in the day, a delegation of Awami League led by lawmaker ASM Firoz went to the Election Commission for the verification of the nomination papers.
President Abdul Hamid will complete his five-year term on April 23.
The presidential election was scheduled for February 18.
February 5 was fixed as the last date for submitting the nominations to succeed President Abdul Hamid while February 7 was set for scrutinizing the papers.
