Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said the position of Prime Minister is temporary, not permanent, adding that she considers herself a servant.
The premier made the statement on Wednesday while addressing a function on the occasion of inaugurating the newly-constructed building of the International Supreme Audit Institute (ISAI) at Audit Bhaban in Dhaka's Kakrail area.
She said: "I have seen many who acted as if once you get this position, you cannot let it go. But I consider it to be temporary."
The prime minister has expressed that she does not see herself as the chief of the government, rather the daughter of the Father of the Nation.
She said: "If Bangabandhu (the Father of the Nation) could give three more years to the country, then we would have been a model nation for others.
"Those who do politics by killing people and creating conspiracy, cannot work for the betterment of the country."
The prime minister also said those who come to power illegally, are busy protecting their positions and she (the prime minister) is free from this mental disorders.
