Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said detectives were working hard to trace those who have gone missing, including NSU teacher Dr Mubashar Hasan Cesar and journalist Utpal Das.
The minister made the statement while speaking to reporters after attending the fourth founding anniversary of River Police at Mirpur PSC Convention Hall in Dhaka.
“Detectives are trying to know why people are disappearing and who are involved in such incidents,” the minister added.

He also urged everyone to have patience and mentioned that most of those who had gone missing earlier returned to their families safely.
Asked about BNP’s Suhrawardy Udyan rally, the home minister said law enforcers have been kept on alert so nobody can create any disorder there and carry out subversive acts.
The recent missing incidents of Dr Mubashar Hasan Cesar, an assistant professor of North South University, and Utpal Das, a senior reporter of online news portal purbopaschimbd.com, have sparked an outcry across the country.
