Adolescents often cannot trust elders to share their stress and anger and become frustrated which often lead them to the wrong path.
The group named ‘Bonsai’ has come up with a digital solution to this problem and won the Digital Khichuri Challenge 2017, a unique creative competition organised by UNDP Bangladesh and supported by Facebook and ICT Division.
They proposed an automated online messenger app called Anu-Bot that will listen to the problems of juveniles and give a solution to manage their anger and stress.
Adolescent students will answer some questions related to their everyday activities and share experiences with the app and it will analyse the answers to find out if any teen is heading towards any extremism or having troubles that could make them intolerant to the opinion of others. The platform will give them solutions, show videos, present online courses to teach them tolerance.
The Bonsai was one of the six teams which showcased their innovative solutions to existing social problems to promote peaceful coexistence and respect for ethnic, linguistic and religious diversity.
