Director of Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) Sajid Amit, who is also the director for executive MBA at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), has been selected as the World Innovation Forum (WIF) ambassador for Bangladesh on Monday.
WIF, supported by the World Economic Forum (WEF), aims to increase the entrepreneurial success rate from 10% to 20% by 2035, and significantly increase prosperity in all participating countries.
His responsibilities are to identify and involve 20 of the most capable and innovative minds in Bangladesh to attend the World Innovation Forum in Lucerne, Switzerland, in June 2018.
The 20 innovative minds will consist of five start-up entrepreneurs, five investors, vice-chancellors, five enablers such as incubators, accelerators, and mentors, three corporate intrapreneurs, and two government representatives who are responsible for innovation and economic development.
Over 1,200 attendees from 50 countries will attend the World Innovation Forum to collaborate in 50 sessions on most burning global and local challenges.
Sajid Amit has been at ULAB since 2014. He has a BA degree from Dartmouth College, a MA degree from Columbia University and another MA degree from University of London SOAS. He has received several awards and fellowships in his career.
