Floods snap Dhaka’s railway link with northern districts

Update : 20 Aug 2017, 03:21 PM
The railway link between Dhaka and Bangladesh's northern region has been suspended as a part of a rail bridge in Tangail submerged due to flooding. The link was suspended around 5:30am on Sunday after the bridge on Pouli river in Kalihati Upazila was partly damaged, reports UNB. Station master of Gharinda Railway Station Jalaluddin said at least six to seven trains were stuck on either sides of the bridge. He said a team has been working to repair the bridge.
