According to a Biman press release on Thursday, Bangladesh’s national airline boasts a 99.03% rate of timely departures.
The award is given not only for punctual arrival and departure times, but also for quality of service to passengers, the press release added.
As an added bonus, the national flag carrier received special tax benefits along with the award.
Changi Airport is one of the busiest in the world, with a total of 67 airliners operating from the location.
Biman Bangladesh has been operating Dhaka-Singapore-Dhaka flights regularly since 1978, with one flight available everyday at present. Planes on the route include two newly purchased Boeing aircraft - a 737 and an 800.
