Medical student killed in Dhaka road crash
A fifth year student of Dhaka's National Medical College has been killed after a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Old Dhaka’s Bangshal area. The deceased is Sadia Hassan, 22, daughter of Hasanuzzaman of Rajshahi city. Her mother Shahin Sultana Jolly also suffered injuries in the accident that occurred near Al Razzak Hotel around 6:30am on Saturday. “We arrived in Dhaka in the morning on a train from Rajshahi. A vehicle hit our CNG auto-rickshaw while we were going to her college,” Sultana told the Dhaka Tribune. The duo were whisked off to Dhaka Medical College hospital after the accident. “Doctors declared the girl dead soon after she was taken here. The body has been kept at the morgue,” DMCH police output SI Bachchu Miah said.
