HC asks for case dockets of three prisoners

Update : 22 Feb 2017, 06:03 PM
The chief judicial magistrate of Cox's Bazar will send the documents by March 5. The court will fix a date for further hearing on the matter on that day. The bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the order after a panel lawyer of Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee, Kumar Debul De, brought the matter to the court’s attention on Monday. He had informed the court that four people under trail had been languishing in Cox's Bazar jail for a long time. The court also asked one of the prisoners, Sunny alias Liton, to correct his district name as it was spelled wrong in the document. Liton has been in jail since October, 2006. Of the remaining three accused, Abul Kashem has been serving jail since May, 2005, Mostak since March, 2006 and Nurul Islam since April, 2003.
