Clash between drug traders leaves 1 dead in Benapole
The deceased is Selim, 40, son of late Abu Taher, of Bhobarber village. According to the police and locals, two groups of drug dealers locked in a clash around 6am on Tuesday. During the clash, both groups exchanged fire, leaving one of them dead on the spot. Officer-in-Charge of Benapole Port police station Apurbo Hasan said Selim was accused in more than a dozen cases. Police recovered his body and sent it to the Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. A foreign-made pistol and two rounds of bullets were recovered from the spot.
