Shahriar: Youths start building Digital Bangladesh
The state minister made the statement while inaugurating a daylong digital fair titled ‘Learning and Earning Fair’ at Rajshahi College playground as chief guest. Over 40 ICT-based organisations joined the fair with their various innovation and outsourcing devises and software. The minister said: “Information technology is helping to reduce unemployment problems from the country and many youths have become self-dependent through outsourcing.” He said the government was extending all support towards them so that they could build themselves as ICT-based income-generators. ICT Division and its ‘Learning and Earning Development Project (LEDP)’ organised the fair in order to encourage more youths and inspire them to the income-generating activities. Project Director Tapan Kumar Nath welcomed the participants with Deputy Commissioner Kazi Ashraf Uddin in the chair. Principal of Rajshahi College Prof Habibur Rahman, Chairman of e-generation Shamim Ahsan, General Secretary of Bangladesh Call Centre Outsourcing Organisation Towheed Hossain and entrepreneur Nahid Hossain also spoke.
