The inaugural flight left for Muscat at 10:45pm from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with 158 passengers in the newly-added Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
US-Bangla Airlines Managing Director Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun along with its other high officials were present during the inaugural event.
Four flights from Dhaka and two from Chittagong would run on the route in a week.
Its minimum one-way fare was set at Tk20,565 and return fare at Tk38,607 for the Dhaka-Muscat route while the amount is Tk23,685 and Tk40,551 respectively for Chittagong-Muscat. The fares include all taxes and surcharges.
Two flights will be operated every Sunday and Friday at 10:45pm and another two flights on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:45pm from Dhaka. The Chittagong's flights are on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:15pm.
Sources at the airlines said they will introduce flights for Kolkata, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou and Doha routes soon. Another such Boeing aircraft will join their fleet this year.
Currently US-Bangla has five aircraft-- of them, two are Boeing.
