Man slaughtered 'by his son' in Kodomtoli
Md Mohor Ali, 60, resident of Jurain Medical Road area in Kodomtoli, Dhaka, was found with a wound on his neck in his home around 3:30pm on Saturday. Family members and employees from Mohor's sock factory, which is on the first floor of the building, rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead around 4:30pm. Ibrahim, one of the factory workers, said he saw Sumon, Mohor's elder son, running away from the building right after the incident. He was arrested in Kodomtoli area, Dhaka around 11pm, Kodomtoli police confirmed last night. Mohor's wife Amena Begum said she was asleep during the incident. She said Sumon was a yaba addict and had recently returned from India after a long treatment. Assistant Sub-Inspector Bachchu Miah of DMCH police outpost said Mohor's body had been sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
