Designations of some of the officials have also been changed, according to a circular which was published on the website of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday.
Farzana Jesmin, senior assistant secretary at the ministry, signed circular as per the order of the president.
According to the circular, the transfer of AKM Iqbal Hossain, to Cox's Bazar as SP, and Shaymal Kumar Nath, to Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) as deputy commissioner, will be effective from December 15.
