AL council to go live on Facebook

The 20th national council of Bangladesh Awami League will be live streamed from the party’s verified Facebook page. Awami League, the oldest political party of the country, took the initiative to open up an opportunity for the party leaders, activists and others to get connected online with Suhrawardi Uddyan, reports BSS. Scheduled to be started at 10am on Saturday, this coverage will continue round the clock till the closing session in the next day.The Centre for Research and Information (CRI), research wing of the party, will look after the entire supervision of the coverage. Sabbir Bin Shams, executive director of CRI, said that this initiative is designed to make sure activities from grass root level can also stand in solidarity with the participants at the conference venue, making the council an inclusive one. Moreover, CRI will set up two stalls at the venue where publications showcasing the development of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be focused. Four more installations will be set up illustrating various struggles of the party, 'Bangabandhu and Sheikh Hasina'-Sheikh Hasina's movement for peoples' right for vote and food (1981 to 1996), Bangabandhu in photos, Speech of 7th March and Journey of Bangladesh Awami League (1949-2008).
