A Dhaka court has placed Rashidun Nabi on a three-day remand over alleged involvement with the killing of blogger Nazimuddin Samad, a student of Jagannath University.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Maruf Hossain passed the order after Tazul Islam, inspector of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, produced him before his court with a 10-day remand prayer.
A joint team of CTTC unit and Detective Branch of Police have detained Rashidun Nabi in connection with the murder of blogger Nazimuddin.
Nabi was detained from Sayedabad in the capital on Sunday night, said Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Masudur Rahman.
Nazimuddin was killed by suspected Islamist militants in Old Dhaka’s Sutrapur area on April 6.
