The detainees are: Osman Gani, 59, younger brother of the house owner and also caretaker of the house, and his wife Salma Begum, 35.
Gazipur special branch police Inspector Mominul Islam confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
“They have been detained from different parts of the district early Monday and will be produced before court. They had been on the run since the raid,” he said.
The building is owned by Saudi Arabia expatriate Solaiman Miah and managed by his younger brother Osman Gani, a former teacher of Jangalia Senior Fazil Madrasa in Kaliganj.
Police’s Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit conducted a raid in the house that led to a gunfight for over five hours. At 3pm on the day, police carried out the final drive which went on for about 40 minutes.
Some 14 grenades were thrown from the house exploded in this time. Seven militants were found dead on the first floor of the building at the end of the raid.
Police recovered three small arms and locally-made sharp weapons from the spot.
