Two killed in lightning strike

The decreased are Tipu Sultan, 38, hailed from Borshijura of Moulvi Bazar and Takoddus Ali, 30, from Bamon Bali of Chhatak, Sunamganj. Eyewitnesses said the victim were standing in front of Osmani Medical College Hospital's Emergency Unit and talking to each other when the lightning struck them around 9am. Then the two men fell on the ground and they were immediately rushed to inside the hospital where the on duty doctors declared them dead. Dr. Abdus Salam, deputy director of the hospital, said: “Tipu's body was completely burnt by the lightning while no mark was found in Takoddus's body.”
