Shakib says he's okay

Bangladesh ace cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has escaped helicopter accident crashed on its way back after dropping him at a hotel in Cox's Bazar on Friday morning. Shakib told Bangladesh Cricket Board's Media Manager Rabeed Imam that he was unharmed. He said the incident was tragic, adding that he was surprised after learning about the crash. The star cricketer and his wife are in Cox's Bazar shooting a commercial. They are scheduled to return on Saturday. Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim said he was relieved to learn that his teammate was safe. “All thanks to Almighty Allah.. this is what happens when you have blessings of 170 million people... just happy to hear Shakib is safe and sound. But, may Allah grant Jannah to the person who lost his life. Let's pray for the departed soul... [sic]” he wrote on Facebook.A chopper owned by Meghna Aviation took the couple to Inani. It went down near Inani’s Rejukhali Bridge just after 10am on Friday, police and fire service officials said. One person was killed and four other people on board were injured.
