Border Guard Bangladesh has seized 276 bottle phensedyl and 70 bottles of Indian alcohol from different places near the Chuadanga borders early Tuesday, says a release by 6 Border Guard Battalion, Kushtia sector.
The seized goods, worth around Tk2.5 lakh, have been sent to the narcotics control office.
No details of any arrest were mentioned in the BGB release.
Acting on a tip off, a BGB team of Jagannathpur outpost seized 180 bottle phensedyl and 20 bottles of Indian alcohol from Joypur field in Joypur village under Damurhuda police station around 3am. The price of the goods is around Tk1.02 in black market.
Around 1:30am, a BGB team of Hudapara outpost confiscated 50 bottles of Indian alcohol from Jahajpota field. The goods cost around Tk 75,000, said Capt Amir Majid of 6 Border Guard Battlion in the release.
Another BGB team of Nimtala outpost raided the Kaalkata bridge area in Akondobaria under Damurhuda police station of the district around 1am. They seized 96 bottles of phensedyl which has a price of Tk38,400 in the drug market.
