The case was filed with Tongi police station on Monday morning.
Tongi police station duty office SI Nitai Chondor Das said: “One of the victim’s father named Abdul Quader Patwari filed the case against eight people. He named former MP Mokbul in it.”
Fire fighters have recovered two more bodies under the debris of the factory in the morning, taking the death toll to 31.
Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director M Akhtaruzzaman said army officials led by Lt Colonel Shofiul Azam began the rescue operation around 5am.
Around 70% of the three-storey factory collapsed due to the fire which broke out at Tampaco Foils Ltd following an explosion on Saturday morning.
The explosion triggered a massive fire and led to the partial collapse of the three-storey factory building in the Bscic industrial area in Gazipur, some 20km north of capital Dhaka.
