AL Dhaka city full committee announced
Awami League (AL) has announced the full committee of Dhaka city north and south units. AL declared a 69-member committee of Dhaka North and 68-member committee of Dhaka South unit including 15-member of advisory council for the both units. Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, according to a press release, approved the committee of Dhaka metropolitan north and south units Sunday. On April 10, 2016, AL General Secretary and Public Administration Minister Sayed Ashraful Islam announced the new committee of Dhaka city's two units at a press conference. He also declared Abul Hasnat as president and Shahe Alam Murad as secretary general for south unit, while AKM Rahmatullah, MP, as president and Sadeq Khan as secretary general for north unit. Besides, Sayed Ashraful Islam announced the names of presidents and general secretaries of 49 thana units and 103 ward committees of the city. According to the release, president of the north unit is AKM Rahmatullah, MP, vice presidents: Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, MP, Aslamul Hoque, MP, Azizur Rahman Bachchu, M Nazim Uddin, Jahanara Begum, Mofiz Uddin Ahmed and Khandker Rafiqur Rahman. Sadek Khan became general secretary of the unit, while joint general secretaries were SM Mannan Kochi, Quader Khan and Habib Hasan, law affairs secretary Advocate Mosharaf Hossain, agriculture affairs secretary MAM Razu Ahmed, information and research secretary Anwar Hossain Majumder, relief and social welfare secretary SM Mahbub Alam, office secretary M Saifullah Saiful, religious secretary Sufi Sultan Ahmed, publicity and publication secretary M Mizanur Rahman Mizan, forest and environment secretary freedom fighter SM Tofazzal Hossain, science and technology secretary Nazmul Anam Bhuiyan, women affairs secretary Meherunnesa Meri, liberation war affairs secretary freedom fighter M Abul Kashem Khan, youth and sports secretary Abdul Gaffar, education and human resource secretary Aminul Islam Amin, industries and commerce secretary A Zafar Nizami, labour secretary M Barkat Khan, cultural secretary Iqbal Khan Chowdhury, health and population secretary Colonel (retd) Dr Kaniz Fatema, organising secretaries Fakir Mohiuddin Ahmed, Mokter Sardar and Zahirul Haque Zillu, assistant office secretary Shahrukh Khan Miraz, assistant publicity and publication secretary M Azizul Haque Rana and treasurer Wakil Uddin. Besides, the names of members and advisory council of the committee were also declared.
