WB to give $100m to improve college education
The World Bank (WB) will provide $100 million financial aid to the government with a view to improving college education across the country. The agreement will be inked Thursday at a function at the National Economic Council (NEC), reports BSS. Kazi Shofiqul Azam, additional secretary of Economic Relations Division (ERD) and Zahid Hussian, WB Acting Country Director, will sign the pact. Under the agreement, the WB will provide the fund for the College Education Development Project (CEDP), which aims to improve the teaching and learning environment of government and non-government colleges affiliated with the National University.
