4:38am: After a namaz-e-janaza attended by around 30 family members, war criminal Mir Quasem Ali had been buried at his family estate in Chala village, located in Manikganj's Harirampur upazila, reports our Manikganj correspondent Motiur Rahman. At least 300 police personnel cordoned off the whole estate. We are taking preparation to send his body to Manikganj," says Kashimpur Central Jail 2 Superintendent Prashanta Kumar Banik. But the authorities want him [Mir Quasem] to be buried at his ancestral place in Manikganj," Khandker Ayesha Khatun, wife of war criminal Mir Quasem Ali, said while speaking to the Dhaka Tribune's Arifur Rahman Rabbi exclusively over phone. 09:15pm: Family sources confirm the Dhaka Tribune that after execution, war criminal Mir Quasem will be buried in his ancestral estate at Chala Village in Manikganj's Harirampur upazila. Our Manikganj correspondent Motiur Rahman reports that the local administration has completed all the preparations for the burial.

The three other hangmen are-- Ripon, Deen Islam and Shahin. 4:41pm: In a statement posted in Jamaat-e-Islami's website on Friday, the party claimed it is a ridiculous suggestion that Mir Quasem lost his calm hearing the verdict of his review petition appeal to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, in an attempt to debunk media reports that the convict war criminal wept after hearing the verdict on radio.
