The British Council will soon reopen its offices in Bangladesh, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said.
British High Commissioner in Dhaka Alison Blake has informed the home minister that the offices were closed temporarily for internal reform activities.
“It will reopen soon. But the exams are ongoing, not closed,” the minister said quoting Blake.
The home boss made the remark to reporters after a meeting with five-member British delegation team, with the British High Commissioner in Dhaka Alison Blake, at the secretariat on Sunday.
On July 27, British Council Bangladesh closed all its offices in Bangladesh temporarily to review security procedures and announced to reopen soon once new security measures are in place.
Later on Saturday, the Bangladesh chapter of British Council announced that all examinations held under its purview will be on schedule despite the closure of its Bangladesh offices.
