One held with 6 gold bars in Satkhira

The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have detained a man along with six gold bars while allegedly trying to smuggle those to India via Keragachhi border under Kolaroa upazila of Satkhira district. The discovery was made on the bank of Keragachhi Majumder canal on Friday morning. The motorcycle of Attabur, 35, son of Abul Hossain, from Charabari village in the upazila, was also seized from the spot. Satkhira 38 BGB Commander Md Arman Hossain confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune and said a BGB team, on a tip-off, searched Attabur on the border around 9:30am and found the gold bars in his possession. The market value of the bars is yet to ascertain, the commander also said.
