BNP will stage demonstration across the country on Saturday protesting the mass arrest in the name of anti-militancy drive.
The party will stage demonstration at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh in Dhaka at 10am on Saturday, party's senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement on Thursday.
Addressing a press briefing at party's Nayapaltan headquarters, Rizvi also sought ruling from the court on stopping mass arrest and extra judicial killings.
“In the month of holy Ramadan, the law enforcement agencies have been arresting people without any arrest warrant with a view to repressing the political opponent,” he alleged.
BNP leader also claimed that at least 2682 BNP leaders and activists were arrested in last six days during the so-called anti-militancy drive.
