First look at 'Bhuban Majhi'

The scenic film starring Parambrata and Aparna, published a the teaser online, which is likely to create a soothing impact on the viewer's mind while promising an engaging story.

In the government-funded film directed by Fakhrul Areefen Khan, Kolkata’s Parambrata Chatterjee plays the role of a spiritual singer Nahir who is inspired by a young lady named Farida, played by Aparna Ghosh, to join the struggle of 1971 Liberation War. Maznun Mizan and Sushma Sarkar are seen in brief scenes.

Shot in a peaceful, rural setting, the 86-second teaser plays a romantic number and highlights the chemistry between the two powerhouse actors.

Bhuban Majhi depicts a number of historical incidents such as the 1970s general election, the horror of March 25 and the EPR rebellion in 1971.

The songs for the film were composed by Kalikaprasad.

According to Fakhrul, the film is based on true events and even the characters’ names have not been altered. The film has already been shot in Kolkata and Kushtia, and is expected to hit theatres this November.
