Two-year-old bites snake to death

The girl managed to kill the snake with her teeth in her backyard

A two-year-old girl in Turkey has killed a snake that had bitten her on the lip by biting it back.

The bizarre incident took place in the village of Kantar near Bingol in Turkey on August 10, reported NDTV.

The toddler’s neighbours performed first aid and rushed her to a nearby children’s hospital. She was recovering well after 24 hours.

The snake, however, succumbed to its injury.

The two-year-old girl was playing in the backyard of her home when the incident took place. The neighbours immediately rushed and became shocked to find a 50-centimetre snake clamped in her mouth, according to the report.

She managed to kill the snake with her teeth in her backyard.

Mehmet Ercan, father of the child, said: “Our neighbours have told me that she had been playing with the snake and then it bit her. She had bitten it back as a reaction.”

Newsweek said in a report that there are 45 species of snake are found in Turkey, of which, 12 of them are venomous. The girl was bitten by a non-venomous species of snake.
