Social media star Khalid Al Ameri supports the students’ movement in his Facebook video
Students from schools, colleges and universities along with journalists and civilians have been injured in collisions on the 8th day of the ongoing students’ protest across Dhaka city.
The protest that started off as a peaceful claim for safe roads soon escalated to violence in the last 48 hours.
Social media stars have been using their platforms to raise awareness in global communities about the state of Bangladesh student protests.
Khalid Al Ameri, an opinion writer and social commentator, posted a video on Facebook last Saturday explaining why the protest is going on and the necessity of it.
He supported the protest and stated: “Students and youths have taken to the streets in Bangladesh in protest for safer roads after a boy and a girl were killed by a speeding bus. They are asking for change and justice. Praying for the safety of all, and that kids can get back to school again. Much love and God bless.”
