US President Trump has provoked the internet once again, this time by breaking protocol with Queen Elizabeth II
US President Donald Trump momentarily seemed to walk in front of the queen - a severe breach of royal protocol - during his visit at the Windsor Castle on Friday.
It was over in less than 20 seconds, but even some casual followers of the monarchy were aghast at the uncomfortable interaction.
According to report by The New York Times, Trump walked slightly ahead of the queen as they inspected her honour guard. At one point, she gestured to Mr Trump and appeared to direct him forward with her white-gloved right hand. He walked in front of her and then stopped, which cut off her path and forced her to sidestep around him.
Social media users have slammed Trump for his lack of manners during the visit.
I’m no royalty expert, but I’m confident cutting the Queen off is frowned upon 😐pic.twitter.com/c2KSkUn145

I am reminded of what my blue-collar dad used to tell us kids: Money can't buy class. https://t.co/tQh1y7FX86

I have never been much of a Royalist, until I saw the elderly Queen summoning every atom of her considerable dignity and grace to deal with the moron visitor who was forced upon her. My respect for you, Ma'am is equalled only by my disdain for Trump. Cretin is too mild a word.
