Indian scientist Professor Yash Pal passes away

Indian scientist Padma Vibhushan Professor Yash Pal has passed away in Uttar Pradesh. He died at the age of 90 on Monday. The cause of the death was yet to be known, reports Indian Express. According to the report, Yash Pal had reportedly recovered from cancer a few years ago. Pal was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1976 and India’s second highest civilian honour Padma Vibhushan in 2013. He made significant contributions in the field of science and to the study of cosmic rays, high-energy physics, astrophysics and development, among others.
