Two arrested over Rajasthan gang-rape of woman looking for a job

Two men were arrested in a case filed over the gang-rape of a Delhi woman who was thrown off the roof of a building after the torture in Rajasthan.

Senior police officer Mamta Saraswat confirmed the matter on Saturday, reports NDTV.

Bhawani Singh and Sunil Rajput have been arrested while the other two accused – Devendra Singh and Vikram Singh – are still on the run, said police.

On Friday, the victim came from New Delhi after one of the accused offered her a job.

Mamta said: “Devendra Singh and Vikram Singh forcibly raped the 25-year-old victim in Churu city. Later, all four of the intoxicated men tied her hands and feet and pushed her off a roof.”

However, the woman’s life was saved as the rope became entangled in a pole, she added.

Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and rescued the rape survivor.

After the medical check-up of the survivor, she filed a case in this regard, said police.
