A Chapainawabganj court has sentenced an Indian citizen to life imprisonment in an arms case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Robiul Islam pronounced the verdict on Thursday.
The convict is 42-year-old Milan Singh, who hails from Malda district of West Bengal.
Additional Public Prosecutor Anjuman Ara said the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Singh along with seven guns, 14 magazines and 47 bullets from Binodpur union on January 31, 2018.
Later, Sub-Inspector (SI) Golam Sarwar of Shibganj police station filed an arms case against Singh.
On March 1, 2018, the investigating officer of the case, RAB SI Mahmudul Hasan, pressed charges against him in the case.
