Former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh tested positive with Covid-19 on Monday.
Shortly thereafter, he was admitted to the trauma centre of All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Delhi, as reported by several Indian news sites.
"He has mild symptoms and is stable," Times of India quoted doctors as saying.
The doctors are monitoring his condition.
Singh, 88, recently took both doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wished the former PM a speedy recovery.

On Sunday, Singh had written a letter to current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting five ways the government can fight the pandemic amid an unprecedented spike in Covid-19 cases.
In his letter, he stressed that the expansion of Covid vaccination program forms a big part of pandemic management. “We must resist the temptation to look at absolute numbers vaccinated and instead focus on percentage of population vaccinated.”
The veteran Congress leader said he was certain that with the correct policy design India can do much better and rather quickly.
