Dilip Ghosh, the West Bengal unit chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in a Facebook post on Wednesday said that state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was trying to build a “Greater Bangladesh” by chanting the “Joy Bangla” slogan at public meetings.
The West Bengal BJP president shared an image from his official Facebook account with the inscriptions: “This honourable person [Mamata] is uttering Bangladeshi slogan Joy Bangla, which is the national slogan of the Islamic country.”
Mamata is fighting with the objective of creating a Greater Bangladesh, Ghosh added in his social media post.
The BJP leader also pointed to the presence of Bangladeshi actors and cricketers at Trinamool Congress election campaign rallies and puja celebrations.

It is to be noted that the All India Trinamool Congress was founded and is currently led by Mamata Banerjee.

Mamata Banerjee recently chanted the “Joy Bangla” slogan in protest against the Hindu nationalist followers of the BJP, India’s ruling party.
Kolkata’s Victoria Memorial Hall was shaken by slogans of “Joy Sriram” just before Mamata's speech in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inaugural function of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's 125th birth anniversary celebrations on Saturday.
Mamata did not address the program, alleging that she had been “insulted” with political slogans. “There should be decency in government ceremonies. No one should be insulted like this after being invited to a ceremony,” she said at the time.
The West Bengal chief minister left the podium, chanting “Joy Hind, Joy Bangla”, without delivering a speech.
BJP activists have been bombarding Mamata Banerjee with harsh criticism on social media since then.
